The first research and development sessions have just taken place for Mavis Sparkle, our vibrant new show for 2012.
Over the past week, M6’s creative team have been working hard in the studio, pulling together some exciting ideas for this original tale of a not-so-ordinary cleaner who dares to follow her dreams.
So far we can look forward to a combination of fun, laughter and music. Add a campervan, a few constellations, a magical cleaning trolley and a sleepy hedgehog to the mix and the possibilities are endless.
More sessions will be taking place over the next 6 months ready for a pilot tour in the autumn and a national tour in spring 2013. Resident creative artist Gilly Baskeyfield said, “Mavis is starting to take shape and we’re all already in love with her. Goodness knows what she’ll be like once we’ve spent more time working with her.” We’ll keep you posted!
