We are delighted to announce that, in our 40th birthday year, we have been successful in securing ongoing National Portfolio Organisation funding as part of Arts Council England’s latest investment plans for 2018-2022.

To be awarded funding at current levels is a real achievement and we’re grateful for the Arts Council’s continued recognition and support. This key funding commitment not only allows us to realise our ambitious touring programme but will also help us leverage the additional funding needed to deliver M6's full 5 Year Artistic Programme  - A World of Difference.

Through meaningful collaborations with inspirational new, emerging and renowned artists, children and young people, schools and venues, we will continue to create and share a rich mix of excellent original theatre productions with and for young audiences locally, nationally and internationally.

M6's new Curriculum for Life digital education resources, created in collaboration with Healthy Young Minds, offer powerful contemporary drama, providing a stimulus for workshop discussions to assist young people to navigate an increasingly challenging world.

Our expanded award winning participatory programme will continue to transform the lives of diverse local children and young people through engagement with accessible theatre-arts activity, providing multiple platforms for them to share their voices, talents and potential.

We are wholly committed to prioritising the children, young people and families of Rochdale Borough and we will continue, in collaboration with key partners, to respond to  the Cultural Education Challenge locally.
