New Youth Panel Launches

The youth panel (Act Now-ers!) came together for their first official meeting last week to talk about Act Now!, M6’s programme of creative activities with young people in Rochdale. Act Nowers! play a key part in decision making and ensure the voices of young people are heard. General Manager Debs Palmer gave an overview of the company and discussed why it is important for M6 to have a youth panel. This was followed with some getting to know you exercises as some of the panel hadn’t met each other before. The group then looked at how best to communicate the programme to other young people. Youth panel member Lavender Kuuya said, “Being on the panel is important to me as it allows me to tell people how amazing M6 is and how it has helped me out so much”.
