Three Generations Enjoy Little Gift
14 Feb 2019
We recently held an intergenerational performance of our brand new play at a local Primary School as part of a UK-wide tour.
Little Gift is a family show directed by Andy Manley (White), one of the world’s leading theatre makers producing work for children and young people. Working with M6’s Artistic Director Gilly Baskeyfield, Little Gift tells the story of a lonely man whose life is changed when a new friend enters his world.
For the past few years, a number of our partner schools have opened up opportunities for parents and grandparents to see our work. We found that these shows provide an excellent way for schools to increase family engagement which has enormous benefits to help pupils realise their full potential.
Ben Lavin, Head Teacher of St Mary’s RC Langley where the performance took place said:
“We work in partnership with M6 Theatre as we share similar values as a school and as an organisation. We want our children to have amazing experiences that they can share with their families and talk about afterwards. Events such as this provide the perfect opportunity.”
Little Gift is recommended for ages 3-7 and tours to venues until Monday 11 March. A tour schedule can be found at www.m6theatre.co.uk/shows/2018/little-gift/tour-schedule/
