M6 production highlights this season, included the award winning, Danny, King of the Basement, a play that explores the experiences of 10 year old Danny, in his new basement flat with his new friends - his eighth home (and school) in two years. This powerful performance showed how the power of creative thought and good friends can change lives. It was described in the Sheffield Star as a “Gem of a play for children that deserves to be seen by the widest possible audiences”.

He meets two of the local kids, and makes friends in a morning and best friends in a day. But, even Danny's amazing imagination can't cope with an unexpected crisis – he gets a real home…

This thoughtful and humorous exploration of issues affecting young peoples’ lives today is suitable for young people aged between 9-12 years. Following a sell-out success with the British premier of Danny, King of the Basement in 2005, M6 will delight young audiences again with this humorous and thoughtful play, a newly commissioned set, and a nationwide tour.
